In the summer of 2022, a decision was made to move an assistant principal at Brenham Middle School to Brenham Elementary School.  Brenham ISD announced the promotion of Steven Siemsglusz to Brenham Elementary School Principal.

 

Siemsglusz is a 1996 graduate of Brenham High School who has served in Brenham ISD for over 20 years.  He began his administrative career at Brenham Elementary School as an assistant principal before shifting to Brenham Middle School. 

 

Siemsglusz was previously a teacher at Brenham Middle School and Brenham High School, and was a basketball and baseball coach for several years before going into school administration.  He earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.

Natalie James has worked in public education for over 20 years and has proudly served the students and families of Brenham ISD since 2013. She has been the Assistant Principal at Brenham Elementary since 2022, where she is committed to building strong, lasting relationships with students, staff, and the greater school community.

Mrs. James began her career as a classroom teacher and later served as an instructional coach, supporting both student learning and teacher development. Her experiences across multiple Texas school districts and grade levels have provided her with a strong foundation in instruction, which continues to guide her work as a campus leader. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in education from Texas A&M University.

A firm believer in the power of school-family partnerships, Mrs. James works closely with families to support each child's academic growth and overall development. She is passionate about creating a school environment where every student feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn. She is honored to be part of the Brenham Elementary team and remains focused on helping all students reach their full potential - both in the classroom and beyond.
