Mrs. Mason is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Development and her Master’s degree in Agriculture Education while earning her teacher certification simultaneously. She began her teaching career in Hearne, Texas, teaching Pre-K 3-year-olds while making her home in Franklin, Texas, with her husband, Wes Mason, and their boys, Parker and Logan Mason. She then transitioned to Franklin, where she taught 3rd grade Math and Science for two years and 4th grade Math and Science for two years. She moved to the Assistant Principal role for one year and then served Roland Reynolds Elementary as Principal for four years. In 2012, she moved back home to Brenham and became the proud principal of Krause Elementary, serving for ten years in that position. She most recently served the district as Community Engagement Coordinator.
She has been married to her husband Wes for 23 years. Her oldest son, Parker will attend Texas A&M as a Senior majoring in Agriculture Leadership and Development. Logan will be a Senior at Brenham High School. Courtney graduated from Brenham High School in 1995 and was active in Brenham FFA, 4-H, played basketball, was a cheerleader, and was a member of the National Honor Society. She is thankful to be able to serve this community and give back to the place that helped grow her into the woman she is today.
