Mrs. Suzette Evans is a wife, mother and grandmother.  She has a passion to help students realize their potential through high expectations and devoted attention. She has taught at the Junior High for fifteen years and served as an administrator since 2019.  She received an Associate’s Degree in General Liberal Arts from Blinn College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, and a Master’s Degree from Sam Houston State University.  She is currently working on her Doctorate at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Mr. Shields has served in Brenham ISD since 1997.  He began his career as a coach in BISD and has worked as an assistant principal at Krause Elementary for six years, Alton Elementary for four years, and Pride academy for two years. Mr. Shields holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Education and Mid-Management Certification from Lamar University.

Larry Hughes has been an educator for 28 years, 26 of those in Brenham ISD.  He has a Bachelor of Science from North Texas State University and a Master of Education from Prairie View A & M University. He has taught Special Education and was a Jr High coach before becoming assistant principal at Brenham Middle School. He began as an assistant principal at the Brenham High School in 2021 where he continued his venture towards student excellence in learning.

Mrs. Morgan is a 2000 graduate of Brenham High School. She received an Associate’s Degree in General Liberal Arts from Blinn College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Prairie View A&M University, and a Master’s Degree from Prairie View A&M University in Educational Administration.  She also completed the superintendent program at Lamar University.  Mrs. Morgan previously taught English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) and coached basketball, volleyball, track and soccer for nine years at Brenham Junior High. She was an assistant high school basketball coach at Brenham High School for two years. She taught Reading for one year at Cy-Fair ISD and returned in an administrative capacity to Alton Elementary for one year, where she served as School Improvement Officer. She has also served as summer school principal for ten years in Brenham ISD.  Mrs. Morgan is currently serving her sixth year as assistant principal at Brenham High School. She has a profound love for our community and all of our children.

Legal Requirement

Under the requirements of Senate Bill 107, 84th legislature, TEC 37.0012, each campus must have a staff person designated as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. The person designated may be the principal of the campus or any other campus administrator selected by the principal.
