My name is Thomas Majusiak and I’m thrilled to be the counselor here at Krause Elementary School! I graduated from the University of North Texas where I earned my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. After graduating, my career started in Denton ISD where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade, as well as Inclusion/Resource. While teaching, I earned my Masters in School Counseling from Lamar University. I have 3 years of school counseling experience, all at the elementary level. Most recently, I have been in Waller ISD as a counselor.
My wife and I met while both attending Blinn College at the beginning of our college journey. After living in the DFW area for almost 10 years, we decided to move back to Brenham to be closer to family. We live in town, where we’re raising our daughter, Scarlett. We stay pretty busy during the school year, as both of us are educators and are involved in various activities in the community.
I’m excited for this year and the big journey ahead! Throughout the school year, I will be visiting classrooms to teach guidance lessons based on the standards outlined in the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs. Topics will range from exploring our academics, social/emotional learning, career needs, and goal setting.
I want to sincerely thank you for trusting us with your child here at Krause. I promise to guide them in any way possible to be successful young citizens. Let’s work together to make it a great year and “Keep Everyone Shining!”
