Counselor's Corner

Christina Johnson Snow is the school counselor for 7th grade. She started her career at Brenham Junior High 15 years ago as a Resource Special Education Teacher.  She has been in the counseling department the last 10 years.  Mrs. Johnson-Snow received her Bachelors of Science in Health, Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, and Masters of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University.  She believes a comprehensive developmental counseling program is not a support service, but it is an integral part of the total education program. Counseling programs provide important benefits to individual students by addressing their intellectual, emotional, social, physical and psychological need. Every student can succeed.

LaTanya Joubert is the BJHS counselor for 8th grade. My mission mirrors that of Brenham ISD. I am proud to be part of a district that fosters “a proud community, inspiring and encouraging excellence for all.” I am passionate about providing enriching educational and social experiences that focus on productivity and responsibility. It is my desire to  prepare every student for success in whatever endeavors they choose to pursue in life.  In our ever-changing world  our students need to be mentally ready to adapt to changes in our society, making the best out of any situation through self efficacy. This resilient and positive way of thinking is what I want to instill in our students.   I have twenty plus cumulative years in education. I am a certified school counselor with nine years of counseling experience. I have seven years of classroom teaching experience. I have also been an Academic Achievement Specialist, Behavior Intervention Specialist and Reading Interventionist.  My goal is to educate my students in the art of building positive and healthy relationships.
