Christina Johnson Snow proudly serves as the 8th Grade School Counselor at Brenham Junior High. Her career in education began over two decades ago at BJH, where she first made an impact as a Resource Special Education Teacher. For the past 16 years, she has been a dedicated member of the school’s counseling department, providing guidance, support, and advocacy for students during a critical stage in their development.

Mrs. Johnson Snow holds a Bachelor of Science in Health, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Counseling—all earned from Prairie View A&M University. Her educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that a comprehensive, developmental counseling program is not simply a support service, but a vital and integrated component of a student’s total educational experience. She is committed to addressing students’ intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and psychological needs, and firmly believes that every student has the potential to succeed.

Jacy Niemeyer serves as the BJHS Counselor for 8th grade. Her goal is to offer a supportive environment where you can fully express yourself, gain insight, and take steps toward personal growth. As a quote that she likes, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” She likes working with students to encourage and involve them in their future transitions to high school, and would like to inspire their approach to extra-curricular activities and joining service clubs to promote an accomplished young student.

Holding a bachelor degree from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University, Mrs. Niemeyer brings proficient knowledge from being a teacher for 15 years to handle conflict resolution, peer mentoring, and patience when talking with students.
