Karen Brown is an Assistant Principal at Brenham Middle School.  She holds an Associates Degree in Business from Northwestern Michigan College, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Sam Houston State University, and a Master of Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

She began her career in education in 2005-2006 school year in Conroe ISD.  Mrs. Brown served as a junior high teacher in Conroe and an instructional coach at the intermediate level in Conroe ISD.

Mrs. Brown grew up in Northern Michigan and moved to Texas 20+ years ago.  She lives in the Montgomery area with her husband and two dogs and three cats.  She has 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren.  

Mrs. Brown has strong military ties with her family.  Her husband is an air force veteran and her son and son in law are currently enlisted in the army and navy.  Mrs. Brown’s grandfathers were both in the Korean war.  

Mrs. Brown believes that every student can grow and learn from their mistakes.  She believes that having a positive relationship with families is what it takes to make the students successful in the academic world.  Children need to feel loved and cared for not only at home but also at school.
