Mrs. Vanek has been working in Brenham ISD for 14 years. She began her journey with BISD at Krause as a Resource paraprofessional.  She has worked in the library at Alton Elementary for the past 7 years. This is her second year in the ECLC library.  Mrs. Vanek has worked with kids from ages 18 months-4th grade for 25 years. 

Mrs. Vanek has a passion for seeing kids succeed. There is nothing better than witnessing the joy of a child who has just mastered something they have been working so hard on!  

She has spent the past 8 years helping children find that just right book that will help them fall in love with reading! It is truly rewarding to have a child return to the library over and over again to get that next book because they loved the one before. 

Mrs. Vanek has been married for 26 years and has three children.  Spending time with her family brings her the most joy.  She also enjoys creating, watching movies, and reading!
