From the Principal....
Mrs. Still, a graduate of Brenham High School, is proud to have spent her entire career as a teacher, assistant principal and principal in Brenham ISD.   She received her undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and her Masters in Education from Prairie View A&M University.  In 2001, Mrs. Still moved from the classroom to administration where she served ten years as an assistant principal at Brenham Middle School, and then moved to the principal role in 2011.

From an early age, Mrs. Still knew that education was in her future as she proudly taught her stuffed animals mathematics using the overhead projector purchased by her father in an estate sale. “Teaching and learning has always been my love.  Education is who I am, and I can’t picture myself doing anything other than being a part of public education.”

Under Mrs. Still’s leadership, the goal for Brenham Middle School is to support personal growth.  The staff at BMS is strategic about helping students write academic and personal goals.  Valuable time is spent teaching students what it takes to reach those goals, how work and practice correlate to better results, and how good character impacts personal success.  “Our goal is to meet every student where they are, and help them become a better version of themselves each and every day.”

Mrs. Still is married to Kirk Still, a fellow administrator in Brenham ISD.  They are super proud of their two boys Preston and Payton, who are both graduates of Brenham High School and TSTC.  As avid travelers, Mr. and Mrs. Still spend their free time traveling around the country which is often centered around their other love, sports.  They have passed their passion of travel to their boys who patiently wait to see where the next family trip will take them.  “Life is not about the destination, it is about the journey.”
